The AGH Deep Learning School offers two tailored learning tracks to suit your level of experience and research focus — Intermediate and Advanced. Whether you are looking to refine your skills or explore the cutting edge of AI, our program provides a personalized path to help you grow.

Digital schematics

Intermediate Path

Perfect for participants who already have a basic foundation in Deep Learning and programming. This track focuses on practical skill-building and real-world applications. You'll also have the opportunity to earn an official NVIDIA Deep Learning Fundamentals certificate.

Key Highlights:

  • Strengthen core Deep Learning skills
  • Learn to apply DL in practical settings
  • Hands-on projects with machine learning frameworks
  • Obtain an NVIDIA certificate

Prerequisites:

  • Intermediate Python skills: basic programming, understanding mechanisms of loops, if/else statements, data structures etc.
  • A basic grasp of ML, linear algebra (especially matrices + operations), and statistics
  • Basic knowledge of NumPy and Pandas

Advanced Path

Designed for experienced DL practitioners and researchers who are ready to tackle complex challenges and delve into the latest developments in DL and AI. This track explores advanced topics, methodologies, and research-driven problem problem-solving techniques.

Key Highlights:

  • Focus on complex DL applications and innovative solutions
  • Discuss cutting-edge research trends and challenges
  • Get involved in high-level research projects

Prerequisites:

  • All requirements from intermediate track
  • Good knowledge of tools like: TensorFlow, TensorBoard, and/or Keras,
  • Basic knowledge of parameter optimization in ML
  • Proven practical experience (completed subjects/projects) with machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL)

Key dates

  • Early-bird registration: 26 June to 15 July 2025 (15:00 CEST)
  • Committee's decision to grant free participation: 18 July 2025 (15:00 CEST) - date updated to 21 July 2025 (15:00 CEST) due to huge interest and lengthy grant free participation process
  • Late registration (subject to availability): 16 July 2025 until capacity is reached - cancelled due to full capacity
  • Technical session (intermediate path): 18 September 2025 at 5:00 PM (on-line)*
  • Technical session (advanced path): 18 September 2025 at 7:00 PM (on-line)*
  • School date: 24 to 26 September 2025

* Participants are required to prepare their own notebooks for laboratories and other hands-on sessions.
Details regarding the necessary software to be installed will be provided at a later date.
Technical sessions will be used to verify the readiness of participants’ equipment for the Summer School.
